Tan Shei is a French producer based in Taiwan, pumping out big, beautifully produced and mixed deep house tunes non-stop. ‘Glorious Morning’ is an extended, 10-minute piece that builds infections minimalist loops gradually by adding everything from crunchy basslines and wide pads, to spinning arpeggios, manipulated voices and even a subtle, twisted flute melody. By the end of the piece, the simple motif we were presented with 10-minutes ago has been stretched to its limits, and is finally deconstructed using filters, and faded into silence once again. -Dan Peeke
